Zen
You may have noticed that the EuroZo logo contains a motif that is also commonly referred to as a Zen circle. This is not a coincidence.
Ever since I first heard about and read about Zen — back in the 1990s — it has always meant the art of presence to me.
Zozen
At some point along the way, the nickname Zozen came to me. If we connect it to Zen — and this time, that is exactly what we are doing — it appeared long before the time when Zen and I truly grew close.
(For a long time, I didn’t even know that there was a boiler brand called Zozen, or, for that matter, a measuring instrument with the same name.)
It was a bit like receiving a garment as a child that turned out to be too big, only for us to grow into it over time. Even today, the name "Zozen" doesn't always fit me perfectly, but that is partly because I found the path to my spiritual growth in the teachings of Taoism rather than in Zen.
Perhaps this story isn’t particularly interesting to you, but that is simply the reality.
